Toyota Solara is fun to drive - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By NRenick - May 4 - 10:00 amThe Solara is very smooth to drive. I get a lot of compliments on the style of the car. I feel very safe because of the 5 star front and side crash ratings. I appreciate the fact that Toyota makes a moderately priced car with 3 airbags (front, side, and side curtain).

love it! - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By J_S - April 28 - 10:00 amThis is my second Solara, and I love it. I bought the first model when it came out in 1999. I got an SLE with a V6. I loved that car, but the SE v4 is just as nice. The look, feel, comfort and the driver are excellent. The pickup is surprisingly quick too; even when I when I was driving up a mountain.

Almost the best convertible - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Gary L - April 28 - 10:00 amI would say except for the boot that covers the top when its down, the 2004 Solara convertible gives you about as much bang for the buck as anything out there. Lots of pep and a great ride. Nice sound system. Not the best but more than adequate. Would we buy it all over again? You bet.

Only OK -- Wouldnt Buy it Again - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Travelpro0104 - April 14 - 4:56 pmAfter the leaky roof was fixed two times and I still have to fix the hesitation with excelleration, its an okay car. The tires for life deal is a scam since it requires oil changes every 3,500 miles or the warranty is voided. The car looks great, but I want more than "a looker" to keep me happy.

Great buy - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Bob Culp - March 22 - 10:00 amI gave up a mercedes 500 SL for this car and I am happy I did. I looked at every convertable on the market. I had decided on Lexus sc430 till I test drove it for a day. The Solara has the appearance of the Lexus with twice the room and half the price. This is a fun car that combines the function of a practical car with the the thrill of driving a sporty eye catching car.

Toy4Me - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By mycoolcar - March 16 - 10:00 amThis car is very easy on the eyes. I chose red as my color. Wherever I go people comment on how nice my car is. Looks like a lexus, feels like a lexus, acts like a lexus, but without the price of a lexus.

The question. - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Jim McKinnon - February 1 - 10:00 amWhenever I get into my new solara, I ask the question, do I put the top down. Unless it is raining, my answer is always yes.

24000 Miles in 1.5 Years - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By adhoc - January 19 - 6:13 pmAfter having this 5M 2dr SE sport for 18 months, I found the combination of its fuel efficiency and power was just ideal. This is my 15th car and I am pretty happy with 33-34 mpg on highway and acceleration after 40 mph. It runs like >200 HP on highway with a regular 2.4L 4-cyl engine. I had no problem since I got in Feb 2004.

Fabulous - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By qtip - January 13 - 10:00 amNo granted, I have only had this car for three days, but I just love it. Many areas of this car have the quality look and feel of the more expensive Lexus SC cars. The interior design well thought out and built, but it was the handling on the test drive that sold me on this baby. We took this car out on a slightly pitted back road and let it open. The suspension was fantastic and when taking tight turns at high speeds we experienced very little roll. This car hugs the road very well and the automanual shifting makes it very fun to drive. It is by no means a sport coupe, but is far more sporty than the Camry or old Solaras.
